Job Title: Lab Technician- Advanced Product Development
Job Summary:
This position is under the Advanced Product Development Group. The Lab Technician will be responsible for sample preparation, documentation and analysis depending on experience. Ability to work and/or be trained in handling of basic laboratory chemicals is required. Materials samples for analysis may include metals, ceramics, plastics/polymers or other materials utilized in batteries or supporting systems. The technician will work closely with the failure analysis group in a supporting role and assist in failure analysis projects. This individual may also assist other areas of the company on an assigned basis. This position reports to the Senior Materials Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow established procedures.
- Prepare written and oral reports on findings where applicable.
- Requires organization and attention to details.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to carry out assignments to completion with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Familiarity with hand tools, basic power tools, and basic laboratory equipment is desired.
- Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Education:
Associates Degree or equivalent job experience.
