Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
The role of the Production Supervisor is to lead the assembly process and to support the operator in order to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Help create and maintain a positive, safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain/facilitate "one piece flow"/Lean Manufacturing
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers
- Report production metrics/scrap through route cards
- Enter production data into databases
- Maintain the production schedule to meet customer requirements
- Supplies input for hourly payroll, vacation scheduling for production staff
- Help create an environment that supports the operator
- Provide input to maintenance, engineering and quality
- Understand, facilitate and maintain plant/operator training matrix
- Maintain a flexible work schedule
- Support synchronous manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Understanding of all manufacturing related facets including production control, maintenance, engineering, APQP, and Lean Manufacturing
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Working knowledge of MS Office
Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
