Job Title: System Engineer
Job Summary:
The System Engineer develops the system specifications for stationary solutions and provides engineering support for stationary products. This position is responsible for the technical requirements assessment and system product specification of stationary products.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with Sales and Marketing to assess customer requirements.
- Support the proposal generation and quotation process.
- May perform customer site evaluation to assess requirements for product.
- Perform requirements assessment and specification development according to structured systems engineering methodologies.
- Develop product requirements including specifications for components.
- Assist in the development of product solutions from component building blocks.
- Assess industry standards and recommended practices and assure product compliance.
- Participate in and lead the development of FMEAs, DVP&R;, and other required quality assurance documentation.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Prefer experience in systems design for complex electrical/electromechanical systems
- Experience using CASE tools preferred
- Experience in real time system specification techniques preferred
- Engineering experience on the integration of batteries into Telecom, distributed generation or UPS backup solutions a plus.
- Good communications skills both written and oral.
- Proficient in MS Office software
Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
