Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer
Job Summary:
Engineer mechanical aspects of battery systems providing customer solutions for stationary applications

Responsibilities:
- Determine mechanical system performance requirements. Engineer   system to meet mechanical, structural, packaging and thermal   requirements. Participate in development of engineering drawings   and bill of materials.
- Oversee mechanical fabrication of prototype battery systems   including vendor selection, acquisition of parts, system assembly,   testing, integration into application, and field support.
- Document battery system mechanical development work including   product specification, engineering drawings, and bill of materials.   Participate in FMEA and DVP&R; documentation and validation   testing. Work should be carried out in accordance with quality   practices.
- Interface on a regular basis with customer, company management,   and other stakeholders. Communicate status and current action   items for projects.
- Ensure work is carried on in a safe manner and systems are   designed with safety in mind.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Prefer experience working with mechanical engineering of electrical   systems.
- Understand basic electrical circuits.
- Excellent understanding of heat transfer and cooling methods for   enclosed systems.
- Understanding of structures and building codes as they relate to   mechanical aspects of electrical systems.
- Experience with UL testing a plus
- Good verbal and written communications and organizational skills   needed.
- Self starter with strong motivation to succeed
- Proficient in MS Office software

Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
