Job Title: Research Scientist / Engineer- Chemistry
Job Summary:
Develop and support nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery research and development activities to support the Cobasys Business Plan in the field of chemistry studies, battery cell design and development.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct and interpret laboratory and experimental build experiments.
- Utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data
- Along with the manager, will serve as the technical liaison with other departments.
- Critically analyze data, interpret results and effectively communicate these results to the organization.
- Establishes test requirements if not previously specified, and develops and directs the testing of new-product prototypes to verify product reliability
- Assist quality department in maintaining/achieving quality initiatives
- Maintain high level of professional expertise through familiarity with current scientific literature, competitor products and attending scientific seminars and meetings
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Expert in experimental design and statistical analysis of data
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education:
Bachelors degree or other advanced degree in Chemistry and/or Electrochemistry
