Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary:
Looking for an energetic candidate to aid in the mechanical design & development of Hybrid-Electric Vehicle (HEV) battery pack enclosures. The position will involve understanding a customer�s requirements and designing robust parts for prototype applications. Occasional travel to customer�s sites may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design of enclosures
- Initiate designs from sketches, specifications, customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities or other input from product engineering.
- CAD design of parts
- Oversee fabrication, tooling and release of assigned components.
- Aid in system thermal design
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- 5-10 yrs of professional engineering experience, knowledgeable in GD&T; and experienced in use of plastics and metals preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Big Three processes and procedures is a plus
- Experience in thermal systems is a plus
B.S. in mechanical engineering minimum
