Job Title: Destructive Analysis Technician
Job Summary:
Responsible for carrying out failure analysis on Nickel Metal Hydride batteries, accurately documenting the findings, and communicating results in written reports. This position reports to the manager of the Module Test Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow step by step procedures for conducting failure analyses
- Modify or develop new procedures as required
- Maintain accurate tracking log on all battery or cell returns
- Carry out failure analyses in a timely fashion
- Document results of failure analyses in a comprehensive and meaningful fashion.
- Maintain clean and safe work space.
- May also be involved in designing test methods, and in contract review and approval.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Proficient in MS Office software
- Familiarity with use of hand tools and simple power tools
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow complex written procedures
- Ability to work in team environment
- Self-motivated with ability to work with minimum supervision
Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
Travel Requirements
Typically none. May be required to visit Springboro production facility on a very infrequent basis.
